Yoga entered Vivienne’s life in her early twenties. She completed her teaching diploma at the Ilium Centre in Athens in 1992, and later studied shiatsu with the European Shiatsu School — an experience that deepened her understanding of energy movement as the foundation of life. • Amarylis Androulakis

    Amarylis Androulakis

REIKI HEALER AND FEMINITIES CIRCLE HOST

Amarylis is the “wild card” at Catis. She arrived as a student and, through her steady presence, naturally grew into a pillar of the community. She first offered the gift of a Reiki workshop and, since 2025, has been holding space for the community circles with depth and care. She embodies a modern incarnation of an Amazon — raw, honest, grounded, and beautifully simple.

But do you know Amarylis really well?

Energy work and meditation have been part of Amarylis’s life since childhood, shaped by her parents’ devotion to the teachings of Sankaracharya Sarasvati. Initiated into meditation at the age of 13, she returned to these practices in her mid-twenties through Reiki and energy work. Since then, she has studied and practiced a wide range of energetic and somatic modalities, including Reiki, spellwork, guided meditation, shamanic journeying, Thai massage, and yoga. For over twelve years, she has been co-creating and holding ceremonial circles with inspiring communities.

Now, some fun facts about her!

    • Cooking is her primary way of expressing love, and she has a deep affection for herbs and spices.

    • She is rarely without a book — usually reading at least three at a time: a novel, something philosophical, and something poetic.

    • She strives to live as close to nature as possible, under open skies, until the time comes to settle permanently in a forest, surrounded by animals and trees.

  • Giorgos Androulakis

    Giorgos Androulakis

    YOGA TEACHER AND THAI MASSEUR

After spending 20 years in Athens, where he created one of the capital’s most renowned yoga spaces, Giorgos felt the call to return to his Cretan roots. Seeking quietness and a more balanced way of life, he made the move back to Crete—much to our happiness. Today, our students benefit from his immensely original and authentic personality, as well as from his dynamic and entertaining Vinyasa classes.

But do you know Giorgos really well?

He got involved with yoga, almost accidentally. While he was studying dance, a teacher told him that he needed to do something about his (then) very stiff body and that was the start of it. Recorded video yoga classes 4 hours a day. That's was 18 years ago and since then he has studied and practiced various "styles" of yoga, next to several teachers and different schools. Thus his approach is a combination of many different fields and traditions. He is an open-hearted, loving and curious person. He is fascinated by the human body, the way it moves, works and its ability to heal itself.

Now, some fun facts about him!

    • He loves animals, can deeply connect to them and consider them family. He has saved many from the streets and generally is devoted to their well-being! Although every day, at least once, he wants to kill them and throw them at the sea

    • He is generally centred, grounded, easygoing and open minded, but he has his days of just being ridiculously grumpy, thinking the whole world is stupid and wanting to control life itself

    • When Giorgos has a clear desire to do something he'll do it no matter what but when he doesn't, he's obsessively walking around the house unable to rest or do anything

    • He went all the way to Thailand in order to follow a three months intensive teachers training and he had no idea what Thai massage was or even where Thailand was

    • He may drink his coffee from the same cup, for a few days without washing it
